The Carmelite Friary is located just above the ancient and beautiful town of Kinsale. Carmelites are associated with the town since the early 14th
 century. Today the Friary Church of Our Lady of Mount
 Carmel is a place of worship, prayer and tranquility.

 In 2007 the new centre of spirituality was opened.  The
 former novitiate house of the Order in Ireland, was
 completely reconstructed from 2004 to 2006.

 
The Friary Centre will provide a place of Carmelite spirituality
in the Munster area.
